Sweet website design

One of my favourite bands Drop Dead, Gorgeous recently released a new album. Though they did it in quite a different way to the average musician. Basing their new concept album called Worse Than A Fairy Tale on the fictional murders in a town called Saylor Lake. I’ll tell you a bit about their campaign to add interest to their new release then shall I? Along with their regular band site, they also created another mystery site, filled with creepy graphics, the graphics making up Saylor Lake. After the album was released, fans were intrigued by this mysterious page, it was apparent that they would wait for certains clues to come up on the site. I’m not sure how long it took for all the clues to come up, but eventually it gave the fans enough to figure out the mystery murders of Saylor Lake. I unfortunately didn’t figure it out for myself. Giving their fans something to do, something to figure what the songs in the album are based upon is fantastic. The Saylor Lake site doesn’t tell you very much, therefor creating a further sense of mystery. The site is rather creepy, with a morbid feel to it. Vultures included.
